I think its pretty awesome. Not worth the price, but for example I won it in a contest... I'd drive the shit out of that thing for at least a year before I sold it.
They really do need a less sucky engine though. All the 4cyls in the world to choose from, and they put that garbage toyota/yamaha 1.8 in it... bah.

I'm not a toyota guy at all but I wouldn't say they make shitty engines.

Do it, I'm curious what your opinion would be. I can tell you right now though, a guy your size will be miserable driving it on an ergonomic standpoint. But you'd have a ball taking corners with it. The torque would be very dissapointing too, but you'd get a kick out of revving out a car till you think its about to blow up lol

Honda motors pound the shit out of toyo motors for hp/liter(k20's do better then 100hp/liter) and get more torque... with better gas mileage. Oh, and GM/mitsu motors both make more power boosted while getting better gas mileage. As far as I'm concerned, that = owned. They chose a 5 year old motor design to put in their bread and butter car... which anyway I look at it is a mistake.

I love those cars, Being 6'1" and broke I'll never own one, but those cars are purpose built!!! You know, what I don't understand is that why Lotus chose the toyota mill when in europe (this was several years ago by now) GM sold a car, the Opel Speedster. This car was actually a stretched wheelbase version of the Lotus Elise/Exige, (that had GM body panels of course). It also sported an Ecotec 4 banger (this was about when the Ecotec was still new), so why did Lotus put the Toyota motor in if they could have easily used an Ecotec? Legal red tape? Lotus helped in engineering some of the Ecotec from what I've read though. Maybe theres some bad blood btwn GM & Lotus?
Imagine a turbo'd 2.0 Eco from a Cobalt/Solstice/Sky/HHR in the back of that Exige?!?!?!
