Can someone explain why the 06 colorado is priced the same as the 09 silverado which has 60k less miles ???

09 Silverado 600 miles

Check this out, they said since they're a ford dealer, they try to move the chevy's off the lot faster and price them more aggressively.

07 Colorado 4x4, 11k miles, $16,000

Should I fear that the remaining warranty will be left to rot since i'm buying from a ford company and would have to take it to a GM dealer for service-would the GM dealer tell me to piss off?

Just an observation - but that '07 has a 4 cylinder, and the '06 has a 5 cylinder.......

As far as warranty goes - I think you'd be okay, it happens every day.

Yeah but you'd be surprised at how many and how easy it is to make the 2wd silverado's hang with us.

Wouldn't mind picking up a 99-02 2wd single cab short bed with a 5.3 in it for this very reason.

If you're towing a trailer with any decent weight I'd definetaly step into a v8 silverado whether it's a 4.8 or 5.3L

Well, i'm gonna go check out the Colorado. I told them the rims are ugly as shit and wouldn't consider the truck with them-so they'll swap those out. Anybody have any suggestions on how to weasal them down on that price?

Agreed, if your pulling a trailer, don't get a i4 or i5, they don't have the torque or the supension that a v8 does. I'd go for the 5.3, the 4.8 seems like a compromise. "here's a fuel effecient v8 but that's all it does."

I tried to find a good price on a new compact p/u for a replacement of one of our service trucks here at work. The margins are much thinner on the small trucks and the dealerships don't have much room to play with the pricing. Cost-wise, it costs roughly the same to build a compact as it does a full-size but the initial sticker is much higher on a full-size, leaving more room for rebates and credits and stuff.

The pricing games played with new cars directly affect prices in a similar manner for like-type used cars. At least from what I've observed.
