Looking for someone that has had torn rotator cuff

I got some questions to ask from someone that has had this?

Please describe it? Is it specific pain or general, sharp or dull like a muscle ache?

INB4 "Go to the Doctor" - So far only done xrays, which I know only confirms if it was out of socket. Seems I know more then she does about this subject*


I think I might have done something to mine but not sure. For the last 4 weeks my shoulder has been killing me. It is only in one specific spot and hurts more when doing specific actions like reaching to the side or lifting something. Hell even laying flat on my back irritates it, causing loss of sleep some nights.



* - I've had 6 total dislocations of my right shoulder, last one was in 2000 and that required surgery to remove the ligament that goes across the shoulder blade and then over the top of the shoulder and connects to the arm. I tore that one in half so they removed it. So I know what a dislocation feels like and this isn't it.

Impingement syndrome maybe? I had this and it took years to heal using cortisone injections...it actually still bothers me once in awhile when working out. You'll get sharp pain in your shoulder as you're raising your arm to the side or anywhere near shoulder height and then it dulls out. I also had dull aching in my forearm. If I remember right the pain was dull when laying on my back but sharp pain woke me up at night if I rolled on my shoulder. Oh and I only had around half strength in that arm...the Doc said it's the bodies way of protecting that arm/shoulder.
