Look what my nephew did to his gun this afternoon!
Nice isn't it? He dropped his gun in the mud and "forgot" to check the barrel. As many years as he has been hunting with his Dad/Granddad, this kinda stupid ass mistake is unbelievable. He KNOWS BETTER! He's just lost ALL his firearms until next fall plus he's been screamed at by every guy in the family, starting with his dad and going all the way down the list to his next door neighbor and his little ass is grounded (no driving, even his four wheeler) indefinately. He's lucky he's still with us. We're all LUCKY.Last edited by BdAsBrd01; 02-01-2010 at 05:47 PM.

He's lucky he didn't check the barrel by staring down it. Glad everyone is ok, safety first next time right?

I don't think he'll forget a second time, he's been lectured/yelled at enough for one night. Plus his dad confiscated his guns for the next month at the Least. I do feel a little sorry for him 'cause this was a shotgun his granddad left him. Can you replace a gun barrel?

I wouldn't. Not only did he get mud in it and blow it to pieces, dropping a gun is dangerous enough. I hope he shat himself

I could imagine the flash if there was one. Probably a big one.

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
It looks more like a shootgun barrel that a rifle barrel. It looks thinner and doesn't appear to have rifling grooves.
I'd keep it and hang it over the mantle.

That looks like when someone sticks their finger in a gun (Elmer Fudd and Bugs Bunny mehbeh) in a cartoon or something, never actually seen it happen
