My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
A little heads up/professional tip for you
If anyone here is going to be graduating soon, or is currently seeking employment, do yourself a favor and create a proper, professional outgoing message for your voicemail.
I just called a girl to come in for an interview, and now I've allready created a bad impression of her due to her outgoing message.
This has been a public service announcement from third_shift|studios.

I keep saying I will. But then everyone laughs at my current one and makes it tough to change it

Absolutely right on the mark, one of my students has a voice mail message that makes me want to hang up on every time I hear it. Keep it short, simple, and professional, you never know when or who will be calling and leaving you a message.

I also hate those damn "ringback tones." I'd also love to hear what employers think when they call you and some song starts blaring in their ears.

Although a song might play to your advantage if the employer likes the song.

shes an idiot!! I changed mine to a formal one once I got out of high school. Like TSS said it makes you look like an idiot right from the start. My voicemail used to not even say my name - it just played about 10 seconds of the warrant song "cherry pie"

sounds pretty judgemental to me? i know what your point is, but that message didnt seem too bad. If I made snap judgements on like 3/4 of the people that are in my cellphone based on their voicemail, i'd think everyone is an idiot and some of them are really smart people.
