Limewire??
Is Limewire going to fill my computer with spyware if I decide to join them?
Seems like the last time I joined one of those music DL sites I got creamed.
I really don't want to join, but i need a song for a wedding this Sunday and can't find it anywhere. Bride to be thinks it can be had via Limewire.
I'd hate to spend the $ to find out she's wrong.
Song is Father & Daughter, by Paul Simon.
Can anyone give me the straight dope on it?
Thanks!

What you do is download the free limewire that has spyware and use it to download limewire Pro which doesn't have spyware and then you delete the free one.

I have the free Limewire and it works OK... I also have Microsoft spyware software that will delete any malicious files. So far, I've had no problems. You can't download every song you see on there. Lots of times it says "not enough sources" or it just waits forever.
Be sure to disable sharing. There are instruction online for doing this. You don't want a visit from the FBI...!

I used Limewire FREE version and found the song I needed.
No bullshit spyware so I'm good to go.
FuxOnTheFirstDate made me remember that it was Kazaa that crashed my system.
Thanks for all your help guys!

I've been using LimeWire for a couple of years with no issues at all. It calls Kazaa a bitch. I used to have Morpheus, but just didn't care for it.

I liked WinMX, but something happened and now it doesn't work, I use Limewire now.
