Letter from GM CEO to me

...well he should write me a thank you letter. I just could not bring myself to buying that Lincoln Pick up. Driving a Ford.....could not do it. So this morning at 10am I will take delivery of a brand new Chevy Silvarado.....loaded.....it has every bell and whistle GM could throw at it.
I paid 8K more for the Chevy than the Lincoln.....but I can sleep good and look myself in the mirror....and of course not driving around town with a bag over my head has some advantages also
One of you kids come program this touch screen am/fm/cd/satt/navigation doohickey thing. Manual is 4" thick...fuck that....

Man Sarge I have respect for that, but i just couldnt do it... I'd have to go tell ol' GM that I could get an f-150 with a $5k grill in it for $8k less than a silveradao and unless they atleast matched the lincoln (actually possibly a f150 with the same trim level) i would have to scoot on over to the ford side.

    I love GM, but damn...

when it comes to cars i drive GM, when it comes to trucks, i use fords. from my experience, if you actually plan on using the truck (hauling all kinds of stuff, pulling, etc) ford trucks last much longer. i'm sure everyone has their own story though.

never had any problems hauling with any of my chevy trucks granted my 88 body about rusted away but it still ran strong for an old work truck. oh and it had 275k on the clock.

Yes, I certainly do. We got 2 Fords and one Chevy. No problems w/ the Chevy and a ton with the Fords.

The f-150 has the weakest motor out of ford/dodge/chevy. Congrats on the new purchase. I like the new body style.

Ok, i would only get a deisel if i was towing, so i would rather have a manual. Not only that it's more fun having a manual in a diesel so you can blow more soot. The new duramax's suck to drive to they shift like shit IMO. I hate dodges but would get a dodge only cause of the Cummins motor.

Sarge why didn't you go with the GMC, after all they are professional grade.
