what about all the crap Sidney Crosby is pulling lately? Definitely suspension worthy imo. But the face of the NHL seems to have a golden parachute. Theres no doubting the guys talent, hes a hell of a player. But I'm sick of him crying to the refs, taking dives, and fighting dirty and sucker punching and fighting people with their head down. Not to mention anything he does transpires into a commercial. Theres goals that the devils star forward Zach Parise has made that dont get any recognition and if Crosby shot them they would be in commercials and constantly repeated. Goals like under the legs backhands off of deflections, off balance shots, bullet slapshots through the 5 hole etc. Parise is the NHL's best kept secret imo. Hard worker, doesnt cause problems, makes something happen every shift, and plays his heart out.

i played TONS of roller and street hockey. Couldn't afford to pursue ice hockey though. Very expensive sport.

Cool I played roller for about 10 years back in the day. I also had the privalige of going to Colorado Springs twice to the Olympic training center, now that was a blast.

Hell yeah 310stanger a fan since i was a kid, i get the hockey package on TV every year also so i dont miss a beat & last night just took the cake, the rest of the periods Ruutu is just trying to avoid peters from him kicking his biting ass. And as for Crosby, god i hate that winey bitch he'll get what's coming just wait and see.

Yea the team I played for, Gerry's Raiders, we won the National championship three times. I would love to play again. Thats if my knees could handle it. The coaches son died in a car crash back in 93 and that done him in for the hockey bit. He flirted with the idea of starting back up but he couldn't seem to get his heart back in to it.

Just started watching again. I have played ice hockey for the last 10 years off and on. Been to france and germany to play also. I got in a fight and the guy started to scratch my face when we were tied up on the ice. I bit on his thumb and he stopped. Shit happens. Too bad I have a herniated disc, havent been able to play in 6 weeks. Hopefully I can start again in 2 weeks.

so who do you guys think is the best player in the NHL right now? My vote goes to Alex Ovechkin although his playmaking and defense could get better. But he's the best scorer, hes got size, and he can hit. However my favorite player would be Zach Parise because hes a devil and plays with a lot of heart and is an all around good player.

Heres a scott stevens hit on paul kariya. Paul Kariya got knocked out but actually came back and buried a beautiful slap shot against the devils in the following period.
