Yea pretty cool trick... What you need is your airbrush, a small hplv gun, some silver marbilizer, a paper towel, a black base, an intercote clear and HOK candy rootbeer, candy pagan gold, and candy tangerine.

Start by spraying your black base, let it flash then hit it with the marbilizer and give it a fairly good coat.

Next take your paper towel (the brown bathroom towels you get in public restrooms work best) and drag it threw the marbilizer and squigle it around a little bit. For the knots in the wood pick a spot and twist the paper towel in it. Keep some marbilizer in your gun incase you mess up you can always hit it again... i usually play with it about 3-4 times till i get it where i want it. This will give you the grain effect

Once your happy with the design go ahead and hit it with an intercoat clear to lock it all in place.

Next grab your airbrush and either load the candy tangerine or the pagan gold (dosent really matter) and go up and down (following the grain) in streaks until you get color, leave spaces inbetween your lines, fill those with the oppisite color.

It wont quite look like wood yet but the next step is mix the candy rootbeer into your big gun. I usually tend to mix it very light so i can build it until i get the desired shade of brown. Do light coats and allow flash time in between each. Once you have the desired effect, your good to clear

Hope that helps. If you dont mind me asking how did you do the water droplets in your silver flames? that looks absolutly sick... must try lol

o the water droplets are easy as hell. all you need is black and white base, and believe it or not a water sprayer.

first spray your design and let it flash completely, all the details but the water droplets.

next sray your design with water and allow it to, you guessed it, create droplets. remember to tape/mask off anything you don't want the droplets airbrushed on.

then take your airbrush a fill it with the white and spray about a foot away just mist barely hitting the bottom of the water droplets.

then just hit the top of them with the black is the same way.

next put in the paint booth and bake placing the part in a position that the droplets wont run. let it bake until all the water evaporates completely.

don't not touch the droplets at all if you touch them the paint rubs off. best thing to do is spray it right away with clear coat. and your done. see easy. if i confused you im sry let me know if you don't get a certain point and ill see if i can explain better
