This man has made me laugh probably more than anyone else over the years. I still watch Airplane! and the Naked Gun movies anytime they're on tv (which is rare now because I think nobody wants to pay OJ royalties) and I laugh my ass off even now. Nobody did oblivious deadpan delivery like he did.

I still get a laugh out of the line "And don't call me Shirley".

There are so many gags in The Naked Gun, both subtle and obvious. After watching it hundreds of times over 20 years, I still notice something new from time to time...
It's too bad he never did a movie with Mel Brooks. You'd think they'd have found each other at some point and be a natural pairing. Maybe Mel didn't want to be upstaged...
