Never heard of him..
Suggestion: If you are particularly irritated by another member's posting habits and are constantly fighting the urge to flame them, you can click on that person's profile, and select "Add to ignore list." This will make that person's posts invisible to you.

Since you didn't read the article:
He invented the solid-body electric guitar later wielded by a legion of rock 'n' roll greats such as: Pete Townsend of the Who, Steve Howe of Yes, jazz great Al DiMeola, Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page, Dire Straits' Mark Knopfler, Bruce Springsteen and Eddie Van Halen are just a very few.

He lived right up the road from me, damn shame I never had the oppertunity to meet him. Right now my Uncle is sitting on a huge fortune, a Ace frehley les paul that he had autographed by Ace. plus a few other gibson les pauls.

Its a loss for sure, can't be so bad though, being 94 yrs old and still gigging once a week. Alot of good players used his axe.
