    Yes. They need to go back to the 7.62 for the range.

    Beautifal tidbit of information for you guys to know then... The scar fires both 5.56 and 7.62 rounds, there is a "heavy" and a "light" version... you guess which is which. While they will be swapable back and forth, the number of parts that have to be changed will make it much more likely that you will either have a 5.56 or a 7.62 or one of each, lol.

    These are going to be sweet guns... I wish I could get my hands on an assembled one to fire...

    Yeah but they should use the 7.62 more often because most of the other standard light arms are 5.56.
