    L.T. to the Vikings?

    http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...ird-down-role/

Hopefully a deal is in the works. Imagine a backfield with AD and LT..... Sounds like a linebacker's worst nightmare. Only way this will work out tho, is if Favre returns.

maybe they can run a 2 back set with both of them in there and LT can scoop up AP's fumbles.

LT has already had a HOF career but for the fact that he does not have a ring. At his age I think he’d be willing to take less money for a real chance to get one.

That said, the Saints’ short yardage back is in the dog house with the coaches and I wouldn’t expect him back next season so the Saints are in need of a quality guy. LT and Drew Brees are friends going back to their SD days together and Reggie Bush trained with LT before his last year at USC.

If LT has come to terms that he is no longer a featured back in the NFL and is willing to accept a roll player position I think he’d be a good fit for the Saints.

They don't need anymore help to beat the Packers, thats for damn sure.

With the loss of Taylor, signing LT would be a huge help.

LT will not improve any team.
His NFL career was nearing an end two years ago.

I, for one, am not saying LT will improve the Vikings. I want LT, since we lost Chester Taylor, for the reason of maintaining what they already have.

Everyone knows the Vikings need Favre to be a contender next season, that's the bottom line.

Exactly. People are forgetting that we no longer have a good 3rd down back.

True that .. The Vikings are in the same spot the Packers was in a few years ago ..Cant rely on Favre as a future for your team.. The need to either draft a new QB or get a good veteran ...

the browns traded quinn for delhomme.....I'm much rather have quinn and look for him to be a good QB at some point in time plus he's still really young. He needs the right coaches and mentor to learn from. Look at where he's been and look at the clowns record.....tough to make a good qb in that situation. I think Denver made out on the deal myself.

Well, they should have. They gave up nothing. Hillis rode the bench under McDaniels.
Peyton Hillis will be solid for the Browns, but since they suck more than the Broncos no oen will ever know.
McDaniels refused to use Hillis for whatever reason...the guy showed a lot of skill and heart the last year under Shanahan.

a qb with potential behind the easily the third best o line in the nfl. i call that a smart move all day long. they did nothing special with orton who has/had very little potential. brady gets a fresh start with only having to concentrate on throwing the ball now. he wont need to scramble 24/7 like in cle. the only down side to quinn is they are trying to deal away marshall so he will only be able to throw to royal. seeing as how royal is the only decent reciever they have.
