I've been saying that Cousins is better to quite a few people. RG3 is too fragile imo...he's been hurt enough that his primary weapons "his legs" are almost useless. Cousins has a pretty stout arm and if he gets into a rhythm he's really good. I've seen some stats that show Cousins edging RG3 out as well.

Yes. He can put points on the board. RG3 had one good season, well half a good season. He can stay on the bench all season as far as I'm concerned.

I think RG III is a better athlete, but at the same times takes too many reckless chances, which in turn get him hurt.
I do think Cousins is a better quarterback.

Cousins is a gunslinger. I expect him to have bad stretches. Somewhere in between a Favre and a Grossman. One area where he's better than RG III is throwing the deep ball. If Griffin were healthy and confident and in agreement with his coach, he'd do well.

It's interesting - since Cousins has spent all the preseason playing with the 2nd string, he is more familiar with how they play. Now that he is starting, he is spreading out his throws to the entire receiving corps, which is really throwing off the opponent's strategy. The defense doesn't know who to cover. Also, the offensive line is really holding up well, which they never seemed to do for RG III. That could also be a symptom of RG III not knowing when to get rid of the ball, or Cousins executing quicker. So far so good - RG III is definitely not going to return as the starter if Cousins keeps this up.

Did Cousins focus mostly on Garcon in the past? I don't know if that relates to 2nd string status, because until this year the receiving corp was below-average and downright terrible in the second half of 2013, when Cousins stunk up his chance.
