Ya, the injuries in Cincy were a true shame

I have all his rookies, including his Upper Deck rookie. Griffey and Jordan are about all the sports cards I hung onto over the years.

    Cant argue with this one.

Too bad his injuries stop his career.

Maaaaaaaaaan, I still remember his video game from back in like 93 or 94 that I had for my super nintendo. I think it was Ken Griffey Jr's homerun derby or something like that. Game was OFF THE CHIZAIN

No but seriously, that game was awesome! Played for the Mariners back then I beleive? Never was a huge baseball fan, but watching him go to bat was always a delight

I agree with all of the above.......and he was my favorite player growing up, and ultimately still is.....I'm like Y2K too, in that I have all six of his rookie cards......probably close to 100 total.

man in his time, he was unstoppable. watching the baseball channel the other day, and there was an old documentory on. most dangerous hitters. and of course he was number 1. one of the greatest pure hitters of all time. hopefully we see him in the hof soon.

My favorite player of the game and I've got most of his early cards. He truly will go down as one of the legends of baseball.

That game was awesome, I played it over and over, was nothing for me to hit 100+ homers in a season with Griffey

I need to dig out all my cards... I was really into collecting cards when i was younger. I know a have a few ripken rookie cards, Montana, Young and Rice rookie cards, autographed stackhouse rookie card, Nolan Ryan rookie and about 100 more of his cards. I have over 20,000 cards and a lot of complete sets still in the wrapper. I have a binder full of cards from the 30's, but most of my cards are from the 70's and 80's

Griffey Jr will be a 1st ballad Hall of Famer, and one of the few of today's players that deserve it.

Too bad he had so many injuries throughout his career,if he didn't he'd probably own every MLB batting record. Then guys like Bonds and the overpaid 3rd baseman from the Yankees would be an example of how roids can't out-perform pure talent.

I had a lot of good rookie cards, Barry Sanders, Jerry Rice, etc. but sold all mine when the market started falling out of sports cards. I still have Jordan's 2nd or 3rd year card, my Griffey rookie and a few other ones, but most aren't worth shit anymore.
