Keg party

I plan to have a kegger this Saturday at my house. I am also having a 4th of July party next week. So my question is..
If I buy a 1/2 Keg instead of a qtr Keg and we don't float it how can I keep the beer from going flat ? usually they last about 4 days then the beer goes to crap, any Keg saving methods ?

I thought if you use C02, it would last for a long time?

I see, I don't have a Kegerator, Damn. I'll just go with a 1/4 keg.
BTW Ed the invite is on so if you want to stop by around 6pm Saturday and have a beer.

You don't need a kegerator. I think you can just rent the c02 bottle.

me and my buddys fill our kegs all the time, a 1/4 is only 4 cases of beer man, and goes way to fast. get the 1/2 barrel and if you have some left over keep it on ice and just drink off of it till it goes bad always better to have more and not run out

WTF. You can't float a full keg on a weekend? I have never left a keg with beer in it at any kegger I have been to. Invite more friends.

Yeah we went through two kegs at a little bitch highschool party 2 years ago. Either just drink until you puke then continue to drink more or invite some rugby players over to finish it off

i had a 1/2 keg run out in 4hrs... had to run to the store and picked up 10more cases... i think I was left with a 1/2 case. that was a pretty insane party though... haven't had one like it since. 1/4 keg is good for a small gathering...

i would recommend getting the 1/2, just invite some friends over the next night to finish it if anythings left.

Shit, just bring it to Cincy...there won't be enough left to worry about going flat!!!!!!!!!!!

A friend and I once put a left over keg in a garbage can & kept filling it with ice. As I recall it seemed to work
