My system is dated. I've had it about 5 years now or maybe even longer (receiver). I used to be huge into car audio and had some pretty high-end systems in my vehicles. I grew out of it though and then turned to home audio. I do plan on updating it at some point in the future. Probably not until I move into another house though.

A lot of the newer stuff is pretty awesome.

    X2.

House needed more important updating, but that gap is being closed as we speak.

I also hate knowing the difference between crap and quality, so I know $$ to $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. I've seen custom enclosuers that cost the price of a super charger.

Following some advice from another forum member, I picked this up and installed it earlier this week. So far, very pleased. Once the rest of the shit gets here that I ordered (long story) I'll be good to go for a while.

Jon, how do you like your Polks? I need something for the upstairs. I listen to mostly rock music while cooking and cleaning.

I've always been a fan of Polk Audio; cars and home. They're better than good quality and at a reasonable price. If I did it again I'd probably get their one level up speakers. My sub compensates though for their lack of powerful bass. Just be sure you have a decent receiver pushing them.
Boost gets you laid, unless your name is Jon.

well since were on this, i recently scored a klipsch rt-10d sub from my cousin. Mind you, it is the speaker only, without the cabinet or passive radiators or amp. I plan on using this beast in the t/a.......
