Just learned a 99 z28 can hold 17 gal of gas..

how do i know this? b/c i just ran out of flippn gas! loool and it had to happen on one of the "worst" bad weather days of san antonio history with reported 1 inch of snow fuel gauge doesnt read after half a tank so i've been setting the trip odometer everytime i fill up, just disconnected the battery when i changed out my water pump a few days ago, totally forgot about the amount of gas. well on the highway as i accelerated i felt nothing, 1st i think its the tranny, but as i pull to the side i realize i havnt put gas in a while lmao!
funny thing is when i'm on e it takes 14 gallons to top it off, this time after i put 1/2 gal of gas to get me to the pump it put a total of 17 gal!!!! running fine since hopefully the fuel pump is still ok... time to fix that fuel gauge when this blizzard leaves south tex LOL
bright side, station only had 93 octane in stock so they were selling it at 87 octane price: $2.95/gal, still spent 50 bucks!

They have no way to clear the snow. No plows or the like.
Just like Atlanta getting shut down a few weeks back.
Haven't had a blizzard here in a few years.

Luos is right, they do not plow or sand anything that is not a frontage or or highway here. keep in mind there is about 3/4" of ice underneath this snow still...

here's the 5" of SNOW i woke up to this morning in Dallas. they forecasted "A dusting to 1"...":

We are sending the 14" inch blizzard we got earlier this week and today's white shit down to texass. When you have about 20" of this shit, then you can call it a blizzard.

    What is a blizzard?
There are two somewhat different meanings for the word "blizzard". "Blizzard conditions" technically occur when strong winds (at least 35 mph) combine with either falling snow or snow on the ground to reduce visibilities to 1/4 mile or less for at least three hours. According to this definition, blizzard conditions can occur without any falling snow -- it is just severe blowing snow. This is sometimes referred to as a "ground blizzard".

The other common meaning of "blizzard" is a strong winter cyclone event producing large snowfall accumulations, usually combined with strong winds causing blowing and drifting of snow.

For one inch of snow, why is that equipment necessary?

I am not saying it doesn't confuse me a little....

Just how it is. A little slick on the roads and they have nothing to clear the ice. So a bunch of iced over roads create hell on cities no prepared for it.
