Just bought a VW turbo diesel Rabbit

So, I just bought a 1981 VW turbo diesel rabbit, it's no LS1 but 40mpg isn't bad. It's a crazy car, the guy I bought it from is a diesel mechanic, and was building it as an auto-cross car. It's lowered, SS brake lines, big brakes, 4 wheel disc, strut tower bars, he did all kinds of things to it. Body is in nice shape. Paid 1,250 for a full 88 horsepower. haha feels pretty slow compared to my supercharged SS. But it sticks to the road like glue. Anyone else have any VW's they're cruising around in? Anybody auto-cross them?

Nice man. A rabbit diesel truck would be an awesome bike hauler, but they're rare around here atleast
