Job hunting sucks!!!
Just move to a smaller town outside of nashville and cant find a decent job that pays any money. I left my job of almost 20 years on good terms. Put in atleast 30 apps and only got like 3 calls back. I think I have good interview skills and a resume thats decent put not sure what to do next. Guess Ill have to settle on a job and go from there. I dont want over night shifts and was used to making almost $20 an hour but would be happy with $10 if it was near by and I enjoyed my job. I just got turned down by veriozon which is what I wan ted to do and went and applied for ATT. Any opinions on what to do?

Can you get unemployment in TN? I am on it in KY while job hunting. If it is available to you I would definitely check that out - it's saved my butt!

Almost what I did - I moved from FL to KY and I still got my unemployment for KY (because I was a federal job). I know what you mean though.. going from making over $50,000 a year to nothing blows.. I hated my job though.

Im in murfreesboror and worked for costco for 20 years. I was a supervisor, mangager and certified forklift driver. Im looking for anything that pays atleast $10hr with benefits. Im kinda into electronics. I build my own computer, into home and car audio and cell phones. Thats why I applied for verizon.

maybe you should try some warehouse positions if you can drive a forklift. Federal mogul has a warehouse in smyrna which isn't far from you and i think they pay around 13/hr to start. thats where my stepmoms brother works.

Ill try and find a website, can you find out how hard it is to get in there?

I believe they go through kelly services, a temp service, but any certified forklift experience at a place like that is a big plus. I would get a resume prepared and run it by there one day. I don't think it is that hard to get on there but from what i hear it is kind of hard work because you fill orders all day. doesn't sound hard to me but to some it may be lol.
