jail vs nursing homes...

Let’s put the seniors in jail, and the criminals in a nursing home.
This way the seniors would have access to showers, hobbies, and walks, they’d receive unlimited free prescriptions, dental and medical treatment , wheel chairs etc. and they’d receive money instead of paying it out.
They would have constant video monitoring, so they could be helped instantly ,if they fell, or needed assistance. Bedding would be washed twice a week, and all clothing would be ironed and returned to them.
A guard would check on them every 20 minutes, and bring their meals and snacks to their cell. They would have family visits in a suite built for that purpose.
They would have access to a library, weight room, spiritual counseling, pool, and education. Simple clothing, shoes, slippers, P.J.’s and legal aid would be free, on request. Private, secure rooms for all, with an exercise outdoor yard, with gardens.
Each senior could have a PC, a TV, a radio, and daily phone calls.
There would be a board of directors, to hear complaints, and the guards would have a code of conduct, that would be strictly adhered to. And the criminals put in the nursing home would get cold food, be left all alone, and often be unsupervised. It would be lights off at 8pm, and showers once a week. They would live in a tiny room , and pay $5000.00 per month and have no hope of ever getting out.

my father lived the last few years of his life in a nursing home. there is more truth to this than most will ever know!

my grand father had dementia and spent the last of his years in such places... well over $5,000.00 a month...

oh... and the security at the nursing homes is shit... my grand father escaped twice... a few years ago there was a group of them that would break out and come to the local bar...

That's a nursing home. I'm saying assisted living's price is even worse, because about all they do is hand out pills and bring you meals if you choose.

Its fucking absurd how much assisted living/nursing homes cost. Most of the assisted living places are nice, but once you go to the nursing home? Pffff, I think theres some prisons in this country that are more luxurious. The nursing home industry is the biggest fucking racket going. The worst part is, all of us are gonna foot the bill at some point for our parents to be in them. Not only do I have to save for retirement but nursing home money too? I sware its almost better to commit crimes in this country and get thrown in jail then it is to do the right thing. The convicts do nothing but bitch about the conditions in prison too

The only question I have is at what age do you decide to go to jail instead of a nursing home?

It be real easily to get into jail, just run your car into a cop car or punch a cop and when they bring you to court, throw something at the judge.

So I have a relative that had well into the 6 figures a few years ago. It's almost gone now. They been in assisted living...

Just pinched pennies their whole life, for what....that's why I'm buying a fuckin z06....
