maybe penske can buy the rights to pontiac and turn it around instead of trying to save saturn.

The decision was made last year. But Pontiac's contracts with dealers expires today. The last new Pontiacs rolled off the line in April of this year I think...

Very sad. Pontiac was really done in 20 years ago when whatever nimrod at the top decided to combine its production with Chevy lines and started giving us Chevy/Pontiac clones. Thanks dumbass!

Did Penske buy Saturn? I thought GM failed to find a buyer for Saturn...? Gonna have to look that up now...

Ah yeah ok, now that I read it again, I see he was saying that they 'tried' to save Saturn, when they could be trying to save the once better Pontiac instead...

GM was struggling and needed to get rid of the brands they weren't bringing in enough profit on and they chose Pontiac, Saturn and Hummer. It's sad but it's business.

Buick is the only ones doing innovative things at GM right now. Performance vehicles aside, Buick is the only one that will stand up to the Fords/Germans. They have been making some cool cars, when I was younger I thought I'd never say,"damn thats a cool buick!"

^^^ I agree about 97% with ya. i think i have washed my hands of gm. cept maybe for a new hd, vette or cts-v. i would rather own a hyundai than a new gm

Buick is worried about the chinese market, not becoming better for us. What about Skylarks or Grand Sports in the sixties and early seventies?

I believe Buicks are selling like hot cakes over in China. Similar to Mercedes in North Korea.

Yeah, I feel the same way. I like their trucks, the Corvette and the CTS-V. But other than that, everything else they have to offer nowadays is low quality junk in my opinion.

i bought a 2010 silverado this july.. great truck, then agian so are the ford trucks. I went with the silverado over ford because of rebates, and I know the engine well. Only other gm vehicle I would consider is the corvette and cts models.

Other gm vehicles lack body lines and character.
