It's Official: Summer is done

I know we have two days left, but I just closed my pool this morning. Cover is on, hoses are wrapped. I only need to pull and clean the filter. That will be later with a couple of " last beers of summer" ritual.

But, come Friday on my next day off, I'll be having my "Hello Fall" ritual. Beers included.

it's true...it went from 95° days to 75° with 55° nights in like 2 days...i couldn't believe it.

Not out here in Tempe. Pool is still 80+ from all the sunshine and I'm in it every night. Still got a few months before it's too cold to swim in.

We had a serious cold front come through yesterday. I was truely shocked with how quickly fall moved in after our scorcher of a summer. After posting high 90s all summer long, it dropped to a low of....

SEVENTY SIX last night~!!!! We got to turn off the AC and give it a break from its 24/7 continous run cycle all summer!!! It was amazing!!!

Of course, its been raining all day today, and its almost back up to 90 again anyway, but take the victories where you can get them

Temptures become bearable, the constant rain trails off, bugs start to dissapear again.

And of course, it doesn't snow here. We get Winter Lite. Its like Winter Light, but without the G H T.

I don't know about Fla but here in Az we get shit loads of "Snowbirds" - old folks driving rolling houses at 55 in the fast lane of the freeway.
