    2011 may be the mustangs only chance at a glory year--- it doesnt currently meet 2012 safety standards and will gain weight to do so

    Don't worry.

    We'll soon have a Safety/Environmental Czar that will determine that ALL V8 engines are dangerous and harmful to Mother Earth and ban us to driving hybrid 4 cylinders. Just as they wing away to their next summit in their private jet.

    It will be a motoring Xanadu, and the Honda Fit will be king of the street.

    Enviro sarcasm aside, GM is going to have to up the ante.

    That 5.0 in the Mustang will spank the 6.2 in the Camaro. And with 4v heads, it will likely get downright nasty with FI.

    true that a Roush with a S/C gets 427, now the new 5.0 get gets 400+ NA

    problem is they are now running quite high compression. they will be boost limited without a complete build for an f\i application.

    Dont know .. I dont think they have come out with full specs yet .. but the V6 has 305 .. crap thats only 10 less than the 4.6...lol

    from what i've read the 5.0 will be pushing close to 11:1 comp--- way too much for high boost applications.

    the v6 has good hp but torque will be significantly lower than the current 3v 4.6

    No way they are not running at least mid 10's CR. That right there takes any serious FI ideology out of the question IMO.
