No idea what you're talking about.
Judging by the engine and trans specs I can only go so far to say it's an older vehicle?

They are awsome. I have a 79 scout II it has 314k on it the only repair I have made to the engine is valve cover gaskets. The remain has been leaking slightly for about a year. IH designed them right. The 194 is the 392 cut in half. Almost all the parts are interchangable water pump cyl. head etc. they don't die unless they get rusty. Before the baby me and the wife use to take mine out to Ohio for the international nationals. If you get the best place for parts is super scout specialists they have everything from NOS parts to new parts. headers cams and there are plenty of other places that specialize in them.

Black- 1997 Firehawk LT4
How random is it to find a Scout thread on this site?!?!
If it's a 194 ci...buy it! Sell that mofo on eBay...gotta be rare since it was never built. It'll be a 152 or a 196, if it's a 4 cylinder.
I've got several Scouts.
1980 Diesel, dual ARB lockers, 36" Iroks:
1980 Diesel, in the process of being pimped with repower, mustang II front end, bags, etc:
1980 with a '97 Trans Am LT1/700r4. This is my DD (and my 3 year old's Scout, too):
Scouts are sweet. My first vehicular obsession. My Firehawk is a distant second. My wife and I run a small LLC from our house that makes a few Scout parts, and we are vendors for Scout Light Line, the parent company of the above mentioned Super Scout Specialists.
Check out www.binderplanet.com for the low down on everything Scout related.

thanks guys, im gonna look at it as soon as I can save a few extra pennies, its a half cab like the one in the last pic, i originally wanted the regular style but I could use a truck, which is the main reason I started shopping. LT4hawk: good looking scouts! that lt1 sits low, what's the reason?

The LT1's crank center line is within a half inch of where the IH engine's was, in relation to the chassis. It's not lower...just shorter! The intake manifold is that much flatter versus the 304's intake, carb, air cleaner combo.
Just know with an 800, you are gonna wish you had something besides 4 wheel drum brakes without power, manual steering, etc. From 1975 up the Scout II's had disc front brakes, and the Scout II from 1971 up all had power brakes and steering, I think. I never got into the older Scout 80 and 800's much.Last edited by LT4Hawk9; 08-22-2009 at 09:38 AM.

I cant wait to look at it, i've been wanting a 4x4 for pleasure for a while. I think I can manage with out the power drivetrain until I can afford to swap in a booster, discs and steering pump. My Father and I already did that to our 69:
We've done a lot of work to this one: new a-frame converted to disc's with 5 lugs, rebuilt 250, powersteering, powerbrakes, 3 on the tree, some body work, new innerfender, just completed a new rear end with 5-lugs aswell. And now we are installing a new gas tank to the rear frame. Won't be ready for another year cause there's lots of other things to do but in the mean time Im hoping this scout is as good as it sounds so i can go fishing already lol.Last edited by 28Marcos; 08-22-2009 at 11:29 AM.
