Interior components to hot to touch?

This summer is starting to warm up and the insides of our cars act like ovens under the sun. Autotrix is wanting to know who would be interested in a product that would help keep in car temps down while you are away. Much like the window version everyone has seen on TV that is rolled up into the window and keeps the air moving, our kit will move more air and you wont have to have your window cracked. This kit will wire into a hot at all times circuit, and once activated it will turn your car blower motor on every 30 mins only for 4 minutes. Keeping your in car temps down and surface temps like your seatbeats, steering wheel and leather seats cooler as well. This kit is universal for all cars and is currently being tested. The kit also has a saftey for the battery while in use- If the battery surface charge ever gets near or below 11.5V the kit will not arm the blower motor, even if it is switched on. So you will not have to worry about your battery running down. Of course you dont want this type of thing switched on while on vacation or not driving the car, but is ideal for the every day parking lot exposure most cars get.
Heres your chance to ask questions, and help us decide if we should release something like this?

Its an interesting idea but really I don't think it will help that much. My car is black inside and out it sits on black top for 8 hours in direct sunlight in the fl heat of 95+. Its easily 120+ inside the car what is the blower motor going every 30 mins really going to do lower it to 115 inside.

yeah, i wondered about that too.. if it just turns the blower on, aren't you going to be blowing hot air for 4 minutes? it takes like 2-3 minutes for the ac to blow cool, when it's hot any way.. it could be slightly more practical for anyplace that isn't part of south eastern cali, arizona, new mexico and tx..

and in the tropical states, (Gulf Coast) couldn't that cause a problem with moisture?

Sorry, but this idea doesn't work. All you're actually doing is suckering people into buying something that doesn't actually cool the car in hot weather. It won't even change a couple of degrees in the car, especially if you're only running a blower for 4 minutes.

Oh, and if you got this idea from the one that's sold online and you stick in the window, well, that one has already been proven to not work either.

I don't think the temp fluctuation matters as much as the sunlight beating on the interior. That's what really breaks down the interior, and this item wouldn't protect the dash much.

Where would it be installed? How much for installation? How much DIY?

For one thing I am not suckering anybody to do anything-if you consider yourself to be a sucker then so be it. I am looking for some constructive criticism, not to be accused of ripping people off.

The air inside the car is going to be hotter than the air outside of the car, the kit will pull outside air into the cab, so there will be a temp difference being introduced into the cab. This kit is like having the windows down and the wind blowing in your car-only your windows are up and the breeze is controlled. Having the windows down would also help, although that is not the intension of this product. It could very well be a mild climate application more so than the 100 degree summers some of us experience.
A trucks cab is alot smaller and could possibly have better results, than the cars we currently have the kit installed on. 'This product is designed to try and keep temps down' not to act as a 'cooling device'.

"try and keep temps down" sounds like even if you charged $20 for it, you would be better off saving the money, and rolling the window down a little. i'm still not seeing how it would benefit anything. and from what you imply, you are already showing low results with the kit.

The results are as expected- just trying to get feedback on how sought after the product would be.
