interested in new home but too close 2 power lines
so i found this home i would like to buy at a good deal. this is a 1700 square foot, 2bd, 2.5 bath, 2 car garage home for under $160k which is good for the area. but the catch is that it is rather close to power lines... not sure if these are big enough to cause issues or not.. anybody in the know on this???

there are zoning rules about building near power lines... they are newer homes... you have nothing to fear...

No issues living close to 345kV lines ... the media scare was just that media and scare ...

There should be no problems there. But when it rains and nice little background noise will be herd, lol. Hard to describe... But it is an eye sore... Just keep in mind it's not the only house. I do have to ask, are you single? If so do you really need a house with only a 2 car garage?

I stayed at a hotel once that was a ranch style building, under powerlines that big. It was eeire because they snappped and popped all day long.

I wouldn't, when it comes time for you to sell many buyers will be worried about them. I lived by powerlines and never thought of it as an issue until it was time to sell, every other buyer had concerns about the powerlines, just as you are. Save yourself the headache.
