Insurance
Well the holidays it seems everyone wants my money I just got my biannual bill for my car insurance for $900 (22 years old). I don't have any tickets on record and I get a fair amount of deductibles but I wonder if anyone out there is cheaper. I have checked the general and esurance and both come out to more than what I pay already. To make this interesting tell me what you guys pay (not interested if the car you drive is in a parent's name etc.-you guys suck), how old you are, and who you are insured with. See if I can get a better deal, and find who gets raped more than the rest of us

History of my insurance.
16-17: Geico (Parents Policy) 97 Acura 3.2 TL (Basic) $88 month
18: Geico (My Policy) 98 Pontiac Trans Am (Basic) $150 month,
After 6 months went down to $120 a month.
19: Allstate (My Policy) 93 Chevy Corvette (Basic) $72.47 month
I checked on full, I am getting when more money comes in from work.
Was about $200 a month (Full, $500 deductibles).
I also checked on the Trans Am, it was about $78 a month basic.
In 6 months, safe driving goes down to $52 a month basic.
Then about $160 for Full Coverage.
On both companies, I checked about a $1,000 beater car for a DD. Witch I intend to do. Averaged about $10 increase month on those type of cars for basic on it.Last edited by SHines-IT; 12-14-2009 at 11:49 AM.

one of my buddies has a bond for the boat, vette, both motorcycles, jeep.
I'm just wondering what happens if he crashes and hurts somebody?
Medical bills get steep - quick.

I would imagine, you'd still need basic, but am curious.

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
Travelers Ins. Full coverage with $500 deductible and no deductible full glass coverage (windows crack easily here on the surface of the sun) on both Z28's: $66.67/month.
This is also bundled up with my home owners insurance.

I'm still under my parents, I turn 25 in a few months.
I personally wouldn't pick the cheaper insurance. Pick a good insurance company that u know is good. When you wreck your car and they try and screw you, you'll learn the hard way.
I can almost guarantee you won't listen to me though, no one ever does.
