still if you look from an accounting point a view. the police now are in possesion of property and If they are concerned about solen parts than destroy those but I mean they could sell the parts tehy knew where legle I mean there is a lot of money there that is just going down the drain.

I agree, just cause your racing you car gets crushed like an orange crush can...that's a whole bunch of bull shit, okay what if the engine is stolen, then charge the driver with possesion of stolen property. Like the dude said he will get another car and its an never ending cycle. You charge em with something and it makes one think twice.

Yes, I saw that particular vid shortly after it came out. It might have been on the local F-body site I belong to or it might have been here or LS1Tech but I have seen it before. Pretty brutal regardless of make.

But drunk driver's penalties should be harsher than street racers. Not the other way around.

Since I used to street race alot in LA back in the 80's (after they closed OCIR there were no local tracks around) I'll venture to state that more bad things happen to drunk drivers in a single day than happen to street racers in a year.
