I'm a health nut now......
It seems my wife's attempts to make me eat healthy are starting to pay off. I baked the kids a cherry chip cake with cherry icing tonight. It's always been one of my favorites and I remember mom making them for me on my birthday when I was growing up. I made one tonight and substituted apple sauce for the vegtable oil. I'm a health nut now.

Dude, What the fuck happened to you.
I demand you go out and eat the reddest steak... the fattest juicest burger with the biggest plate of deep fried fries and chicken a man can handle.
And for god's sake... put real Mayo on it. All of it.
Im disappointed in you.

I eat pretty clean 5-6 days a week. I tend to eat out a lot, but at home I eat great.
My biggest problem....I like beer.

If you aren't a member of a gym already....you are FAR from being a health nut then. Sounds like you've made some good nutritional decisions, but there is a lot more to being a 'nut.'

the truth be told I went to the "magical cupboard" as I call it because whenever we run out of something that cupboard always has it. I haven't quite figured out how things get in there but I'm pretty sure my wife has something to do with it. Anyhow, I went there looking for some vegtable oil but couldn't find it. I found shortening and olive oil. Could've used shortening but I wasn't sure if the cake would be moist enough with shortening and I knew apple sauce can be substituted for vegtable oil. There was some apple sauce in the magical cupboard so I just used that. Can't tell the difference and the cake is plenty moist.

ha, you call that healthy. Been eating chicken, tuna, samon, egg whites and the such for the past year and change and lost 55lbs so far. When your mixing your protein shakes with water, eating plain oatmeal, or having a turkey burger let me know lol..

don't get me started on that shit right there. My wife buys that junk. It tastes like someone took ranch dressing and added a 4:1 ratio of water and then filtered that through a sock into the spray bottle. As a joke one time I grabbed the bottle out of the fridge and sprayed it directly in my mouth.....almost puked. Nasty nasty stuff.

My weekdays....2 protein shakes (w/ only water) and 3 protein bars each day. I take in between 180-240 grams of protein a day.
Good job on the weight loss. That diet will also help you pack on some muscle if you lift.
As for turkey burgers, I like them. I ALWAYS cook with 94% lean ground beef too, though, so my taste might be off some. I haven't had a burger at a restaurant or fast food place in probably 5-7 years.
I also take in almost ZERO sugar in my diet. As I said before, if I could get rid of the beer on the weekends, I would say I eat better than 95-98% of Americans. But man I love my beer on Saturdays!
I lift 5-6 days a week, but I still do 1.5-2.5 hours of cardio a week too. Body fat, back in August, was 11.8%. I can't wait to be 6-8%.Last edited by 01 SS Vert; 12-12-2008 at 06:06 PM.
