I'm depressed

My best buddy has lost his ass. Everything. I'm gonna help him out and keep the wolves away from the door...and I love him ...he is my pal and pals stick together......but damn beer and shit has just taken over his life...and we are old guys...I just got off the phone with him....damn this just depresses the shit out of me...you young folks....nothing is more important than your family...not a buzz...not a shot of ass...nothing...damn this just bumbs me out...Shit ...have a beer....have a bunch....but when it gets in the way of life...put it down....this sucks....big times.

As much as I like to goof off, which you know I like to do Sarge, in my life family comes first all of the time. My wife is type 1 diabetic, which means she constantly has to check her sugar levels and inject insulin for meals and exercise, and she has a slow thyroid, so I worry everyday of my life that we won't have a full life together because of her condition. I make sure to do what she wants to make her happy and spend as much time with her as I can, because life is short and before you know it.....Good luck to you and your pal Sarge

I just went through all that shit (again) recently Sarge......wish to hell I had someone that would talk to me let alone help me out back then.

Seems like when you're ridin high on the wave, everyone wants to be your pal.
Lose everything and go broke, they treat you like you have the freakin plague.

Losing it all sucks bad enough when you're young.....being an old guy makes it even worse.
It's the price I pay for having the balls to follow my dreams I suppose.

It's sad how that sort of thing can take priority over spouse, children, spirit, health and career. It always seems like a constant, losing battle no matter how hard you fight it. He really does need a good friend right now in addition to professional help.
