Does your GF/BF/Wife/Lover whatever makes more money than you?

If so, does it bother you?

Mine made $7K more than me this year. It bothers me a little bit, because 2 years ago I was making more than her before she switched jobs.

Anyone else?

Hey fsane, I wouldn't bat an eye at that. I wish my woman would make what I make or better. Would solve a lot of $ issues. Lets put it this way, I make between 55 and 60grand a year, have for the past 3 years. She only makes 23,500 working in a doctor's office. Just remember, it could be worse. Also what can you do to increase your salary? I guess a ? would be, how marketable are you? Why can't you go out and get a better job like she did? Not to get on your case, but the grass might be greener on the other side. Like they say " It's cheaper to keep her" LOL!

the girl i just started seeing makes $60K a year, about $10k more than me and it doesn't bother me a bit. you cannot compare professions or you will ruin everything (shit i design where people live, work, and interact and some of the people who occupy what i design haul in 6 figures +, WTF?!!!). be proud man.

Just make sound decisions in the stock market and don't worry about it. Look at a 3 year chart on symbol TIE and you'll see what I mean.

No she doesn't. My wife just went back to work part time because she was board at home. She was a stay at home mom for the last 7 years. Extra cash is ok, because I don't give her her allowance every week now. lol

Depends on how the girl views it. It really does bother a lot of women. They won't tell you, but they do start to see you differently.

One of my friend's wives makes 4 times what he does, and he makes $70K a year. He is kind of an old fashion guy and it does bother him.

my girl makes about 50-60k a year now and currently i make NOTHING because i was in a bad situation at my other job and had to quit without having a job to fall back onto(looking for a job) she is supporting me right now, and it does not bother me at all

Yes she is.

I work in a Hospital Radiology Department.

2 years ago she worked at the same hospital as me, but in the Emergency Room as a tech.

She's pretty close to what I earn. We've discussed her earning more and it wouldn't bother me.

In fact if her career/job became the primary income, then when we start a family, I will stay home with the brats...
