If you had to make a survival backpack..
I like watching shows like Man vs Wild and whatever the other one is. I also like going out hiking (when weather permits..) and of the sorts. Obviously the situation matters cold/hot/camping/hiking/I am legend end of world crap happens lol. So what would you pack if you had just a decent size backpack (rucksack size)

I haev been a SAR swimmer for many years now and me and one of my guys thought to ourselves one day, what happens if our boat goes sinker and we have to abandon it. So we made up a couple of back packs with supplies. People thought we were joking, at first we were but then we made them. Being stuck out to sea for days to weeks is no joke, i don't know personally. We had over 5 gallons of water each, tuna, beans, chicken salad, chili, candy, personal dive knife, gps tracker, and a few other things that we had amounted from the ships store. Our small RHIB engineers were also going to bring supplies with an assload more of extra fuel. See while everybody else is stuck on life boats with no propulsion we each ride on one of the two RHIBS with the Commanding officer or the Executive officer.
Not to long ago though they put GPS units onto the RHIBS, so yeah. Well.....there ya go..
If i had to back for whatever. A combat knife, thermal blanket, one of many ways to make potable water, a gun m4, any kind of food with a ridiculous shelf life, a large bottle of lighter fluid.........that would be it at a bare minimum
