Idea to lower gas prices
I know shell has the best gas but lets get these prices down, basically exxon and shell are the two american gas companys if we buy only from other companys they will have to lower there prices to win americans back, in turn making the other gas companys lower there prices dramatically to match them.
Make sure to tell everyone you know there is an email goin around just give me your email adress if you want me to email it to you. Then send it to everyone you know if we can get enough people not to buy from these 2 companys maybe we can save enough money for all of us to buy superchargers lol. BTW America has more gas now than it did when prices were under a dollar. Lets get the prices to under 2 dollars atleast.
Other option is in mid summer they say gas will be at 4.09-4.59 depending on where we live, so we can all sell our cars and buy mo-peds your choice.Last edited by 2000T/A Guru; 05-31-2007 at 06:24 AM.

Let's build some refineries in this country and lobby fed and state legislators to lower the avg $0.50/gal tax they collect for doing nothing - and authorize some off-shore drilling. We are now importing 13% of our refined GAS - not to be confused with oil.

america does NOT have more gas than it did when it was under 2 dollars a gallon.......like the above said we NEED to build more refineries......that make the gas......not to be confused with oil........and if my car needs gas im not going to search around for another no name brand gas company........since around here its mostly mobil and exxon anyway......it just doesent matter to me.

either way gas prices need to come down, it really sucks paying almost $4 per gallon. I remember when I first started driving and gas was only $0.99 a gallon. those were the days!

It was here, although not for long. I remember because I had just got my first job and was amazed that $5 in gas could get me around for a couple days. back in the day when I was happy to get an $90 dollar check. lol

I don't buy gas anymore. I cut a hole in the floor of my car and I use my feet like Fred Flintstone.

If you really dislike spending too much money on gas trade in your v8 for a 4 cyl honda or something

On my last CC statement, I spent $500 on gas alone. If this keeps up, that's $6,000/yr on just gas. We average maybe 50 miles/day split between 3 cars (one of which gets 35+ mpg but is only driven in crappy weather) and the miles are mostly highway.
If you have a problem pissing away huge sums of cash on taxes, gas, and electric, don't move to CT. They are even trying to tax water bottles here now: http://www.noctwatertax.com/

Or...second option, buy an LS1 for 2 grand less than you can afford and spend the other 2 grand on a 4 banger beater to compensate.
