    I'd like to thank ford

For the kick ass intake manifold they put on the 96-98 GTs and crown vics, it seems the front coolant cross over is very prone to blowing the fuck out. Guess what... mine went at the drag strip in the vic, I just let off the gas after a pass and POOOF! it was over. Now 500 bucks and a day later I've got the none shitty intake, some MSD coils, MSD wires and TR55's. I can say a 4.6 is easy as hell to wrench on

if its the same engine as the gt why does the tack only go to 5 in the clear? 5200 redline on tack.

yeah, Aftermarket intake. rumor has it that theres some extra power, But its not noticable. I would guess the only difference in that and a GT motor would be the Cams, if that. The only reason I say that is because the low RPM shift points.

16.1 @ 85mph with the busted intake, it split into cyl#1 so I know I lost alot O powa. It was cracked for a couple runs, then it just blew. I was cutting 2.1 60's that night. I'm going back after my shift kit

its ok to laugh, its my DD lol

Is this the same motor that the 97 Townys had? My dads went out befor he traded it in, and just recently ford reimbursed him for it due to a recall.

I missed the recall I think, I don't really want to go fuck with the stealership. But my next off day I'll give it a shot

I missed the recall by about a year. They went back 7 years. My Stang only has 60K. Look at the antifreeze residue under the alternator. You don't have to go to the dealer.

Here is a good thread regarding the recall...
