Was it wrong to say it? Yeah, just like it's wrong to pick on Sarge because he's old or TSS because he's not tall enough to ride the ferris wheel or Nitrox because he likes the bigger girls or Mr. Lous because of that time with the cat or the dude that got busted with the blow up doll... ntimidatorss or something like that? Anyway, yes, it's "wrong" to say that because we "should" live in a world where everyone is positive with each other and as Miley said quoting Thumper, "If you can't say somethin' nice, don't say nothin' at all." We "should" never say anything negative about anyone. It's a world of humans - we're not perfect and at almost any chance we can - by default - we try to put others down or say something not positive.

That being said... I think it's blown a little out of proportion. Jamie Foxx is a comedian - not like George Carlin, where there's a point to his humor (reason to take some of it into though). Jamie Foxx is just another comedian that says stuff to make other people laugh. Miley was the topic du' jour. It's very clear that he doesn't have anything personally against her and I think the apology is about as real as you could expect.

I think Billy Ray should calm down a bit. Miley doesn't seem to be crying and actually is handling it more maturely than her pop is.

So the verdict, yes he did something wrong, about as wrong as bumping into someone and having them spill a tiny bit of their drink on them when you're in a crowded area. Something to get, be a little more aware, and the move on - John Q. Public could learn a lot from that.

I think the bigger point here is not whether or not JF was joking (of course he was and on pay radio to boot) but that a black man could say such things (in jest) where a white man (Imus) was castigated into losing his job (by a certain pair of black leaders- Hi Al & Jessie), having to confront the folks in person with hat in hand, for basically the same thing.

Double standard IMHO....

Seems people have such a sort term memory. I think he did do something wrong. It was a poor joke on a minor. But I dont care and think its all been blown out of proportion. I think his apology was good enough now lets move on

The double standard definitely sucks in light of people like Al Sharpton & co. However it was just a joke, just like I think Imus was joking as well. Hell people talk like Imus did all the time, yet sharpton wanted the guy fired and apologizing for the next 50 yrs.

That being said, fuck Miley Cyrus and the horse she road in on. I'm sick of hearing about her. Nickolodeon or Disney or whatever the fuck channel she is on is some cheesedick corny programming and she makes millions, so a lil ribbing wont kill. 310stanger has a hard time feeling bad for a millionaire.

ps. Jamie Foxx has more talent in his pinkie then Miley and her father have combined

I feel the same way. It's the same old double standard.

And, I also feel it was wrong because the girl is a minor. I don't care who you are, don't pick on, and make fun of children. He should know better.
