I was looking at RRs too but to me the lighter is the better when it comes to bikes.

Is the guy trustworthy enough that you could pay him, let him send a payoff to the finance company, and wait on the title? PITA, i know, been there done that, the bank lost my check, took nearly a month to finally get a title and get the guy his bike, thankfully he was understanding enough and patient on top of that. Just an idea.

Black- '05 Ninja ZX-10R
I've never been on the r6s but if i remember right, the cbr 600rr had some weight centralization thing where they were trying to balance all the mass in the mid point of the bike so it'd turn easier. It just made it feel disconnected to the road to me, like the front end was just too light. But it did turn more easily, I guess. Maybe you could like it after you got used to it.

yeah, not a big difference between 05s but I couldn't find a 05 RR in my price range, all of them were 03 or 04 and they weigh even more
The sellers proposition was that he'll pay off the bike thru internet with me watching him do it right after I give him a check. We will do the bill of sale too and title transfer document and send them off to the yamaha since he finances thru them. This should be enough to get my ass covered.

13lbs was the weight difference between a 2005 R6 and a 03/04 RR

huh I didn't check it good enough I guess I was mainly reading comparos of SS bikes from different years and in 03-05 R6 was ahead of RR on the streets - that's why I decided tp go with it. I love the underseat exhaust tho, I almost decided to go with 636 but I prefer Yammi or Honda as companies, reliability and built quality.

NBM- '98 Ram Air Formula
I have a Raven R1 and love it. Its an '05 that I just finished paying off and called customer service when I did to make sure they were going to release and send the title ASAP and to the right address. Just get the seller to make them mail it directly to you when he pays it off..

Now I gotta wait about a week to get it. He has a leak in a fork but extended warranty till 2010 will cover it. I pick it up as soon as the dealership is done with it.

Sounds like he was landing his wheelies pretty hard. It's all about throttle control. Might want to ask him to get the service department to give the bike a good look over for any other problems.
