2000 Grand Prix GTP- 2000 Trans Am WS6 M6
I pissed off my gf today...
...over something really stupid, but we're both stubborn and whatnot...
So, she comes over today to do obvious things (I'm sure you guys don't want details ). Anyway, so when we're done, she asks me to check the tire pressure in her car. I do and they're at 42-44psi . I tell her that the Max Pressure that the tire says (which happens to be 44psi) is NOT what it should be at cold, it should be at what the door frame says (in this case 30psi COLD). I start to let the air out of her tires down to 35psi (I tend to keep it a little high) and she yells at me. She then proceeds to tell me that her dad told her to keep it 44psi and that I was wrong and he was right. She then drove off in a huff and told me that she's just check them at home.
Side story...her dad (3 years ago) told me that I didn't know how to change the oil in my Suburban when I didn't jack it up (I can crawl under it and change the oil)
Question being...she seemed so confident she was right and her dad was so confident 3 years ago that he was right...could I be wrong?

Or even better yet, tell her father to get her AAA since he is so worried about her safety

You aren't wrong on either account, but it's so senseless, I wouldn't even address it any further. If you can't let it go, go down to the tire shop with her to get a "professional" opinion. Tell her you aren't sure, and you really do want to get the right answer so that she has a safe vehicle and you care enough that you don't want her getting into a wreck. That way it isn't coming from you.

I get stupid people that "know" everything about cars everyday. I really don't need to talk to another one.
I love the old men that have the nerve to ask me "You're going to write the estimate on my car?"
Yeah genius I can write alot more damage too if you don't STFU!!!

if she gets that upset about tire pressure after she ask you to check it for her, then maybe she might be a lil cookoo! but then again what girl isn't. dont sweat it, u got the poon before she left so u win.
