    I need a new camera advice

    up to $500
    capable of shooting good night pics (30 sec)
    still with auto mode for when I'm lazy
    at least 10X zoom (prefer better)
    I will not spend extra money on lenses
    gotta buy now
    what do you recommend?

    I know what you mean. I still love mine though. I'll keep it forever. It was top of the line once upon a time

    I also have a DSC-H50. It's an alright camera. Both will have to do until I can get a D90. Saving my pennies

    Nikon Coolpix p100 can be found for under $300. HD video. 26x zoom. Pretty decent reviews.

    Or, if you want the dslr route, the Canon Rebel XS is a nice entry level model. You can find the two lens kit for under $500.
