I hate stupid ppl
After waiting 10 mins on hold.....
Sirius Operator - Hi may I help you?
Me - Why yes I need to drop one of my radio subscriptions.
SO - The reason why?
Me- The radio is a car mounted system that is in a car that doesn't work. It will be several months for repairs to the car.
SO - So the radio is not operational, do you want me to send you to technical support
Me - No, the radio is fine, the car is not
SO - So the radio is not working
Me - No.........The radio works, the car that it is in does not work.
SO - Ok, well we can send you a replacement radio
ME - Ma'am.....please listen to me. The radio is ok, do you understand?
SO - Yes
Me - (speaking slowly) The car that it is in doesn't work, it will be down until it is repaired. I just want to suspend or cancel the subscription to this one radio. Do you understand?
SO - Yes...Umm Sir, Your plan has insurance on it to fix any radio receivers that quit working, I can process it for you no charge.
Me - If only she could see my Bert stare
SO - sir, can you hear me....
Me - Ma'am can I have a supervisor?
SO - Sir, umm hold on
Supervisor - Yes how may I help
M - I explain everything all over again. Do you understand?
Supervisor - So you want us to mail an new receiver?
Me - FML....
Me - No......no........NO........NO..........NO!!!!!! Listen to me...I just want to cancel one of my radio subscriptions. Only one. I don't need a replacement, I just want to stop paying for a radio that I can't listen to.....
Supervisor - oh ok, why didn't you just say so...
Me - You guys enjoy fucking with us don't you?
Supervisor - Excuse me, what?
Me - you heard me...
They process the cancellation
Supervisor - ok we have stopped the radio service to radio X, do you want to stop the other one too?
Me - no, just this one.
Call finishes up and now I have to wonder if they cancelled both radios just to screw with me....FU!!!!

Did they speak with an accent? I've called Sirius support before and the lady I talked too struggled understanding what I was needing too.

Scott, at what point during your conversation did you want to reach through the phone and strangle the dumbass on the other end of the line?
Sounds like Sirius is seriously lacking in the customer service department-or they don't understand how folks talk in LA (Lower Alabama)2001 Chevy Camaro Z28 A4

Surprisingly no, both sounded American. Not that I care about where they are.
What's funny is have have no accent. I've lived in so many places both in the north and south and world that I've manage to lose my Texas accent. However anytime I'm around my family or other Texans it comes back, drives my wife nuts

Should've let her transfer you to tech support and messed with them.

I would have played that totally different. After the third time you should have said yes to the free receiver. Put it on ebay. Made some extra scratch. Called the next day & cancel service on the receiver in the broken down car. That, my friend, would have been a whole shitload of winning!

Even when XM and Sirius were separate they act just like Vonage does when it comes to cancelling their service.
They try every thing in the book to keep it going, throw many offers and such. I used to have Vonage and when we moved to the area that I'm at now all I could get was IDSL from a phone company. I would still have to pay for full phone service even if I just wanted the internet. So I dropped Vonage no sense in having to pay 2 phone services for the same thing.
Vonage couldn't or wouldn't grasp why I wanted to drop their service when it was so much cheaper to stay with them. I agreed, but in order to use their service I needed a internet connection. They couldn't understand why I had to get a phone company to provide the service. It took 50 mins to get them to agree to drop my service. It came down to "look I know this is recorded and I'm making a recording myself and I've asked you several times to terminate. If I get a bill I will take this recording and go to a lawyer." Service was stopped immediately.

Had customer come in when I was still at the Slowpar dealer. Factory satellite wasn't working. So I call flipping through get the customer service number(radio was fine) they tell me he hasn't paid and that's why its not working. Tell the cuustomer and they Sirius is wrong. Turns out when he cancelled it for his wife's Lincoln they shut off his Chrysler instead. Geniuses

It's a factory radio unit. Like I said it works great, even in the garage. It's the motor that is dead.

The motor in the head unit? Sounds like you need a replacement..

Sirius bugged me for months (still occasionally do) after the factory subscription ran out on my car.
Mail offers appear regularly.
My smartphone interfaces with the head unit in my car, so I use Sky.fm and Pandora on it and get internet radio over the smartphone. I never listened to Sirius when I had it.
They've called me on the phone a few times and can never understand my comment "Why would I pay for a service that I never use?"
Their response "But it's half price"
