I weighed only about 100lbs at the time, and it wasn't one of those orange u-shaped ones. It was an actual vest. I expected to go under like 3 feet and pop back up. Yeah...that didn't happen. I just plain stopped. Didn't help I was underweight for the vest, but still, I couldn't believe how quickly that thing stopped me when it hit water. And yes it held together.
