I got the pics of dad's retirement gift!
I think its a good start. Needs some interior, it has a noisy gear drive if it was for me I'd keep it, but I think the old man would hate the whine. I'll get some more pics up soon!

They are great cars, head turners that everyone recognizes. I always get honks and thumbs-up while driving it.

Nice gift man. I like the older corvettes.

I've had a few...... I can tell you first hand the best improvement you can do is.
Throw that tri leaf BS in the trash and buy the TRW fiberglass mono leaf for the rear. It was night and day difference from riding like a truck to fun to drive.Don't be afraid of the bottle!!! Be afraid of your tune!!!

I got it for 3700, needs interior(carpet misc trim center consle, shift cable door panels) I'm in the process of going thru everything that came with it. It runs, but I'm still going to go thru the motor and put in a dif cam and heads, the bottom end was redone before I bought it. I will do all the bushings and thanks for the tip on the leaf springs i will do shocks and vaccum lines etc. It was a decent buy, all the glass is good it also has the 8" wheels with the center caps and trim rings, all the gauges, emblems minus the front one. I know its going to take alot to get this to top shape but that makes it all the better!

Man that's a great deal for 3700! Are you sure you didn't buy it for your own hobby instead of retirement for your father? In any case, I'm sure you and the old man will have some good memories working on this. Thats what its all about.
