    Im starting myself a little collection....

    For those that are curious...

    2001 Ducati Monster

    Motor has been swapped for an 800 cc from a 2003 model (which gave it a 6 speed tranny in place of the 5 speed)

    The bars are getting swapped out this after noon for some not so terrible bars (I hate the cafe racer bars) and i will prolly give it the kylon toch in the next few weeks. That will get me by to the fall when i can tear it down and mod it to the hilt...

    It rides like a completely different bike now... It is SOOOO much better...

    I still have to drill the bar ends out just a bit so that i can install the mirrors, but next is a lil touch of paint...

    That color is a little Meh..

    My buddy painted his silver with a black stripe looked amazing. he also cut holes in his clutch cover and painted everyt hing inside rid.. looks fucking SICK!

    I had no idea what it was... looks too naked to me! I'm like the others thought I'd do something stupid on 2 wheels too. But went from a cbr954 to an r1 and there's nothing like riding a bike!

    I plan on going with a satin black for now possibly with red stripes... This fall i want to really tear into it...

    I cant do any of the clutch stuff because it has a wet clutch...

    both those bikes are awesome. I got rid of my z1000 for an erion racing edition 929, bad ass bike and still alot more comfortable to ride that the newer cbrs.

    I remember reading that the 929 has a really peaky high end powerband for a bigger motor bike, thats true right?

    those ducati monsters are nice...my buddy had a 2005 monster 620. he wrecked it last summer and broke his back. he is up walking again and is slowly putting the bike back together.
