    I Got FIRED Today!?!?!?

I live in Texas, and have worked in the oil field for over three years now. And have been with the same company for two years now. I have never been late, I always do my job, and I even have to stay and work over on an average of 10 minutes a day because my relief never shows up on time.

Last week while I was on my off week they moved the rig to another location, and I had no clue where it was. Well I went in tonight and couldnt find the rig. So I called a buddy and he gave me directions. When I finally got there I was seven minutes late. My boss came outside to meet me and asked me why I was late(Keep in mind I just drove the TA over one hundred miles to get there.). I told him that I couldnt find the rig. He then asked me if I could find another job. I said I dont know, probably. He then told me to go find one.

Only five people are on a rig at one time, and after I showed up they were still two people short. So after I left there was only two people on the whole rig. You cannot run a rig with two people. It is impossible. On my way home(another hundred miles) I made a few calls, and found out that soon after I left my boss had one of his buddys on his way as a replacement for me. What happened to me? We in Texas like to call it "Getting Brother-in-lawed".

I like to call it bull shit.

I dont know if this complaint fits this forum, but it is company politics. Anyway feel free to coment.

Oh by the way it took me 15 minutes to find another job, so I called my old boss about 30 minutes after I left the rig just to let him know. So he wouldnt worry about me. hahahahahahahahahaha

Sounds like your old boss actually did you a favor. No way I could work for a jerkwad like him. Good luck with your new job.

Count that as a blessing in disguise. I wouldn't want to work for an ass like that.

Congrats on stickin it to that jerk boss you used to have.

This thread really doesn't fit the political section so I'll move to mainstream AAG.

That's pretty shitty dude. Should have teabagged your boss. He would have seen it as a sign of manliness and then given you your job back.
