I got it back!!!
Day 71 the mechanic finished it. w00t. Thank god I left little under a quarter of gas. It may have started life as premium but damn, was down to like 64 octane. Had to limp her to nearest gas station and give her the good stuff! I was so excited I went white knuckles all the way home.

He had the best 71 day transmission rebuild in America, known to any man women or child. It has to be bullet proof by now. It should launch you to the moon and around jupiter, twice.
Glad you got it back. Now drive the piss out of it before snow angles are in your front yard.

I still cant beleive it.... Unheard of. A fucking tranny rebuild take 71 days. Shit, my grandmother could have rebuilt it in 35 probably. I would have sued them or something.
That will never happen to me, I will be in that shit hole of a transmission shop every day bitching. Im glad you got your car back... but damn man, something is just plain ole wrong there.
Hopefully I spelled everything right.

I'd laugh if it takes a dump and you have to bring it back to them for warranty work

Sure the work got done. In 71 fucking days. Do you understand how long that is for a T-56 Transmission?????
Also, There usally is a "it will be done in a certain number of days".
Anytime I have ever had work done... they tell me when it will be done. Thats the X-day I pick it up.

I was hoping being nice he would feel bad and go the extra mile, in the end I had to go on a call every 20 minute crusade. He doesn't warranty his work so it better not go bad =( I drove the piss out of it today. I'm just glad the guys at work will finally stop ripping on me for not getting it back.

Thats how your gonna have to learn it too!
I just learned a 500 dollar noobie lesson also, dont buy Mickey Thompson ET Streets and beat the shit out of them on the street. They WILL wear down to NOTHING in 1300 miles.
Different lessons, but the same idea... kinda. Anyway, cool you got your car back and hopefully it runs really strong for a long time.
