i boo booed
Chloe is gonna have to have a bit of work done to her... i learned that although TC is helpful... it is not a momentum defying device...
It had been raining lightly all day and i was gonna put the vette in the garage, but i decided i would just take it to get a bite to eat...
well I hit a slick spot under throttle doing about 40... and well fought it back and forth about 3 times until it got completely sideways...
i then jumped the curb with the front end shown here...
did a lil landscaping for a guy...
Slid across a driveway...
and stopped right here...
when my driver side rear wheel hit this... and well ill have pics of the IRS all twisted up when i go to the tow lot...
and here is a total shot...
as you can see i was pretty sideways when i hit dryish pavement because all my skid marks are about 2 lanes wide...
i took all the pics today and the wreck happened last night... soo thats y i dont have any actual wreck pics...

Oh man this was the last thing you needed. I'm sorry to hear about that. I'm glad that you didn't hit that mail box though! You're lucky in that sense.
No whisky for you too by the way!

Black- 2000 Camaro Z28
did the same thing once, only missed the curb, crossed driveway sideways ended up in halfway across some guys yard. I went and told him, he thanked me for telling him and told me to get the hell out of there before he called the cop.
That sucks man hope you get it fixed, do you have pics of the car?

ill have car pics tomorrow... i dont think there will be a whole lot of body damage... kinda worried about the bumper rails and the bottom of the rocker panels are prolly fubared... im gonna call Gieco and ask them when it will be looked at by an adjuster (yes ive already told them b4 someone even ask)... I dont know what im gonna do if they total it... (which they shouldnt, but you never know till you find out what i did...)
and i mean if for some reason they say its gonna take like $10k to fix it... i might just have the check written to me and part it out... (sorry vette purist)
im guessing with the cash i get i could keep the ls1 and get a firebird or something to do a transplant on... or put the cash into savings or hell who knows... we will have to see how much its gonna take...

curious, how come if it had been raining lightly "all day" that you were still able to hit a 'dryish patch/pavement'. awefully long skid marks for 40 or less mph, even after getting sideways...
oh well, still sucks regardless, good thing youre ok...

i did the same thing, i blew out 3 tires, and completely destroyed the rims, when my rear end swung around and blew the tire it bent the rear end, and the tow truck bent my exhaust, and scrapped the hell outta my front bumper, O YEA and the NICE cop gave me 2 tickets
failure to stay in lane ( i was halfway on a sidewalk like u )
too fast for conds.
Each 93 bucks
i guess i desereve the second one, though i dont know how fast i was going, he didnt even see it happen he rolled up
when u need a cop he aint there, when u deffiently dont need one, there he is!

got my estamate... slightly over $1000... with labor... this is y im letting a body shop handle it... this included like $350 for a tire.. $120 for a rim (no joke $120), a brake disk, alignment, a shock, didnt include a spindle (or what ever you call it on the back), didnt include a hub assembly, and didnt even look at the front end for damage... (i specifically told him to because of the to truck and the curb i slammed into)...
im afraid he is gonna be sadly dissapointed when the actual total comes in...
oh and 2 hours of labor is all he allowed for...
jack ass...

My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
basically, he'll qouote 1000. the insurance reviews and says "ok"
if he runs past that, he brings the adjuster back in, says "i found x, y and z" and they rewrite the quote and pay him more.
