How to tell if you've spun a rod bearing.

    1. You haven't been faster than 60 mph in 3 weeks.
    2. All your brake rotors are starting to rust up.
    3. All the little imports start reving their little engines with thoses big mufflers on them when they go by your house.
    4. You get a Sympathy card from your local dragstrip.
    5. Your wearing out tires on the riding lawnmower quicker than blades.
I'm waiting on a crate motor and if it don't come soon I'm going into the DTs for the ETs.......................

They say it is a common thing with 98 Ls1's I have heard the 98 block had oiling problems and the rod bolts are just to weak on these 98-99 cars. I found a new Gm crate motor it's a 2001 Vette complete assembly. I'm going to take the valvetrain off mine along with the Torquer V2, it's suppose to be good to 6500,along with that new double timing chain I bought and see what the difference is between these 2 motors on the dyno. I have always wondered about the little differences between the vette and the camaros.
