It would be one thing if the cop was driving fast for a good reason - but I'd say it's very obvious that isn't the case. That's a helluva gamble to be THAT sure the cop really didn't have anywhere to go!

So, yea - that was pretty stupid, but the cop did get caught.

Kind funny really.

I'm at 3:24 so far and here's my opinion. This is just some punk kid who think's he's badass because he's following a cop, and i bet the cop doesnt even notice him, he's in a civic. It it were a crown vic he might notice because of the headlights. I wouldnt be surprised if the kid's in jail now the way this video is going. I half think its somewhat fake as well. I wish the cop could see this video, cuz this kid needs a beat down. GAY horn by the way.
conclusion: I think the cop's a bit of a puss in what he does. He looks a little like a puffer, and not very authoritative. A rookie maybe. I've met cops that would probably have just taken the camera from this jackass, taken the tape and destroyed it and arrested the kid. Or maybe it's fake.

If the cop really was going to an emergency(which he wasn't) - Mr. Civic would be in jail, without a doubt. They call that obstruction of justice, I know someone who did something similar many years ago. He wasn't very authoritative since he knew he was in the wrong - especially by trying to lie and say he wasn't going 90, and didn't say a word once he knew it was on tape.

If it was fake, or a set-up - I'd bet the officer's face would've been blotched out, as well as the license plate number on the squad car.

Its no shock that a cop was speeding for no reason. They do it all the time, its a perk of the job. That guy almost had a real bad day. Hes lucky that cop was in a good mood. I dont like most cops either, but I know not to mess with them. You will always lose. Its like trying to fight taxes, its a no win situation.

You guys are right, he's lucky the cop wasnt a real hardliner like some can be ( without getting into cop bashing). Its not a smart thing to mess with cops either, because he could have easily arrested the kid for speeding, wreckless driving possibly, running a stop sign, and possibly harassing an officer?. I think the cop was a rookie and didnt know what to do.

He could have took possession of the camera and had all the proof he needed.
