I've been a guitarrist since about the 9th grade... haven't played in about 3 years though (the EXg/f took care of that)...

My gear is: Ibanez 7 String, LTD/ESP Viper(cheap model), Ibanez Starter kit Guitar(my first Electric), and a Prince Spanish/Acoustic. All that, a Laney 12inch AMP, Wireless System, and a crapy P.A.

i know what you mean. i have played sand man and seek and destroy so many times i think i could play them left handed and blind folded. the last band i was in was called wigglestik and we got pretty popular around this area. a local radio station picked us up as there official party band. but they were all about 10 years older than me and were content playing these small bars and getting drunk, so that didn't last very long for me.

well at least you had some popularity... my bad was a highschool band...we where about to start doing the playing at bars thing... but then everyone either moved away for College... or decided to become DJ's instead...

sad reality is a good dj can make more money on a local level than a good band can no one appreciates live music on a local level any more
