Stock for stock you should win if you can drive. They trap anywhere from 99-103mph.

Stock they are comparable to an LT1, slightly faster from a roll. What kills their times is the FWD.

Watch out though, they are VERY easy to mod and respond to mods as well as a Supra. Which is why I bought one

You can get 260-300whp with bolt-ons (WGA, return-line, tune, etc). That's in a 2900lb car. You do the math

Id compare them to a stock lt1 or 99-03 Gt. Obviously once modded anything goes (much like the Ls1). An old buddy of mine had one and upped the boost AND sprayed 100 shot in the intercooler and squeezed out a 13.9

I raced one about a year ago that handed me my arse. he got me good, by about 1 1/2-2 cars on a freway roll fom about 65-70 up to about 120-125mph
The rest I have run into I have owned.

My buddy raced a few with his camaro. Kicked their ass pretty good. I've raced a few in my vette and ate them alive. My vette is far from stock though.

$20k car that runs 100+mph traps stock off the lot.

Add $3k worth of mods, run 120+mph traps. And still come in under the price of a stock F-Body.

The SRT-4 engine shares nothing related to the drivetrain with the neon, it just uses its body.

The engine is built like a tank, can handle 500HP STOCK. The drag teams are making up to 1200HP on the stock crank, block, and bedplate :

The guys i've known that have one of those cars will try to correct you if you call it a neon. They say it's not a neon....it's an SRT-4. No shit.
